Away for the weekend...

On Friday we headed off to Hazyview for the weekend with Mark, Nic and the girls, Wayne, Geri and Matty and Bolty and Lisa.  The views on the way were beautiful, but I got bit car sick from Dane's rally driving around the bends of Long Tom Pass!

On Saturday morning we did a canopy tour..have been wanting to do it for ages and it was really fun.  The guys even insisted on making our guide carry our cooler bag with us..lol, and we stopped for a beer along the way.

Sunday, we enjoyed a game of Putt Putt ...kids too, we may have some budding golfers :o)  Nic even played better than most with Gabi strapped to her..but it was Bolty that came up the winner.

Mother's Day

We killed two birds with one stone..popping down to Durbs for the weekend not only for Cand's Bday but also Mother's Day.  We had a braai at the Tems with the Bennisons, Barnards and the Milnes...

Was so nice to be surrounded by all our family again..and very hard to leave :o(

Miss being able to have a quick visit with my grandparents..so was really great they could come, even with my grandpa still in recovery from his op..thanks Nind & Gramps ;o)

Cand's Birthday at Barnyard

We made a trip down to Durbz for the weekend to surprise my sis for her Birthday :o)  No one let the cat out of the bag so was a real surprise when Dane and I

She celebrated it at the Barnyard theatre, Gateway with friends and family...dinner and a show.

Developing my green fingers....

So my garden has been a work in progress since we moved here and it wasn't much to look at but I am still trying to figure out if I have been blessed with my mom's and grandparents gift for gardening...?? Regardless, its been fun doing it, rather therapeutic :o)

I found this windmill last wkend at a flee market in Nelspruit when we went to visit Mark, Nic and the girls..thought it was quite cute.

As you can see Chase is just dying to get stuck in there!!! I am really battling to keep the dogs out of the flower beds..hence the 'fencing' its more of a deterrent for now to get them used to not going in and I am also using 'Get Out of My Garden' its like a crystal gel that apparently helps..so we will see and hopefully once they used to avoiding the beds I can take down the fencing :o)
